A fire can be described as situations or temptations around us that seem too much to bear. Looking at the whole scenario of Moses in the burning bush, the fire ordinarily was purposed to destroy whatever or anything it came across; whether big or small.

This bush didn't burn in Exodus 3:1-8. Why? Because God was in that fire.

Taking a look at the three Hebrew men in the book of Daniel and Chapter 3, we see that they were thrown in the fire, but they were not burnt and neither was their hair singed, because someone; 'a fourth person', God, was right there in the fire. The fire didn't do what it would have done ordinarily.

Looking at the whole scenario of Moses and the burning bush, the fire ordinarily was purposed to destroy whatever or anything it came across; whether big or small.

This bush didn’t burn in Exodus 3:1-8. Why? Because God was in that fire.

Taking a look at the three Hebrew men in the book of Daniel and Chapter 3, we see that they were thrown in the fire, but they were not burnt and neither was their hair singed, because someone; ‘a fourth person’, God, was right there in the fire. The fire didn’t do what it would have done ordinarily.

We all pass through situations and circumstances that seem beyond our control, but we have this assurance, that as long as God is right there; in the fire, we will not be burnt. All we just need to do is ASK. Invite Him into the situation. Some say they ask and they do not see anything. This is because we don’t believe and if we don’t believe, we can’t receive. The Bible says ALL things are possible to him that believes (Mark 9:23) and without faith we cannot please Him (Hebrews 11:6) and if we do not have faith, we won’t be able to convince Him to appear in such situations.

The bottom line is that we as Christians must face fiery circumstances, but as true believers, we have an assurance – Christ. If we call Him into the situation, He’ll show Himself; just like He did in Babylon with the three Hebrew men (their situation didn’t overcome them or destroy them).

Dear friends, don’t be discouraged when such situations arise because they WILL come (Is. 43:2, 1Cor 10:13) but our assurance is in the fact that we have Christ, because He always makes the difference (Romans 8:28). We just need to call Him in and He will gladly take over. We will never be consumed in such situations but rather, we will be made stronger in Him because Jesus always makes the difference!

Most times things don’t work out the way we want them to and we sure will be tempted to act faithless and speak words God definitely won’t be proud of. This becomes worse especially if you are used to winning all the time. There are two things to this: First, God wants to prove to you that He determines peoples’ success and the earlier you start acknowledging Him for that, the better.

Second, He wants you to learn because He wants you to teach others; remember, you can’t give what you don’t have. Moses had to move from the palace to the wilderness where he learnt what it meant to ‘suffer’ and he was able to understand the plight of the Israelites, since he had passed through the same situation.

In both cases, there is a bottom-line and either ways, He wants to show us that we can always trust Him for consistency and most of all, to give us a testimony which will increase our faith in Him and in His ability to do ALL things.

A song by Maurette Brown-Clark says “…but the impossible is God’s chance to work a miracle”. Always remember, that with God NOTHING shall be impossible and do not forget also that in all these things (whatever troubles, pains, etc), we are MORE than conquerors through Christ that loved us (Luke 1:37, Romans 8:37).PEACE!!!
