“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19 I believe with every iota of my being that the Lord intends to do a new thing in this season we are in. The Word of God refers to something unusual, unique and strange when it talks about a new thing. The times in which we live are economic hard times for the world but the plan of God is for us to live in abundance and wealth in the midst of terrible famine. Time and again, God has always shown that his intent is to distinguish between his people and those of the world when there is an economic crisis or epidemic. In Exodus 10:20-23, we are told how the whole of Egypt was filled with “darkness which may be felt” (vs 21) but how the “children of Israel had light in their dwellings” (vs 23).
