Our Vision Our Vision"If you then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits on the right hand of God. Set your affections on things above, not on things on the earth". Colosians 3:1-2 Our vision as an organization is to open the eyes of men to see Jesus in the brightness of his glory so they can be changed to be like him. The bible makes us understand that when we see him as he is, we shall be like him because we shall see him as he is (1 John 3:2). Our vision as already mentioned is to help men to see him in the fullness of his glory and thus be changed to be like him. The scriptures further reiterate this sacred principle in 2 Corinthians 3:18: "But we all with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord". From this scripture, we come to realize that as we behold the glory of Jesus, we are changed into that same glory by the power of the Holy Spirit. We also recognize from the scripture that there are varying degrees of this glory as well as hindrances that may prevent us from seeing it “with open face”. Our mission therefore is not only to turn the eyes of men to Jesus but also to remove any hindrances to their seeing him clearly. Our Publications Department Our PublicationsOur special publications fall under the category of the publishing arm of The Behold File. This department also consists of our poem books and other future publications. As a result of the expansion that the Lord is bringing our way, we have been divinely instructed to publish a publication that will be a combination of a daily devotional and a magazine. Also, the Lord has instructed that we publish a Worship Conference publication for the attendees of our conferences and for the sake of the other persons who are unable to attend. The purpose of the Worship Conference publication is explained below: • To serve as another avenue through which we can reach out to the world and influence positive change. • To carry the message and anointing of our worship conference in written form. • To allow persons who are unable to attend our conference access to the messages of the month. • To serve as a platform through which ministers with an anointing and a message from the Lord can present that message to the world. • To serve as a fore runner of our quarterly special publications. Our Worship Conferences Our Worship ConferencesThe month of March, 2008 marked 12 months since our worship conferences began. Throughout this period, God has moved us from one level of glory to the next. Our worship conferences are one of the major avenues given to us by the Lord for the expression and fulfillment of our assignment as a ministry. It is therefore with a deep sense of responsibility that I put forward the purpose, goals and aims of this ministry arm as given to me by the Lord. God’s intended plans and purposes for our worship conferences are described below: • To bring an end to the struggles of the attendees. • To release grace from the Lord that will cause these struggles to end. • To open the eyes of the attendees to the importance of worship and how to access heaven through it; teaching them how to do it for themselves so they can reproduce the same effects in their daily experiences. • To raise men and women who will build the old waste places and rebuild the broken down walls. • To strengthen the hands and knees of the attendees for their vision and purpose. To provide them a place to be refreshed and strengthened to pursue their visions and purpose with fresh resolve. • To anoint his ministers afresh to hear his voice and speak it as they have heard it; bringing refreshing to those who are weary. • To glorify his name. God has been faithful as the last 12 months have rolled by and he has proven beyond the shadow of a doubt that he asked us to commence the worship conferences. Below, I have described what I perceive in my heart that the Lord is asking us to do through our worship conferences: • To Teach: He intends to show the attendees by the Holy Spirit how to access grace to terminate struggles, to open their eyes to the depths of worship, to show them how to successfully pursue vision and how to build the old and broken down walls. • To Strengthen: He also intends to strengthen the attendees and ministers, to anoint them with fresh oil by his Spirit. • To Cause to Experience: He also intends that every person that attends our conference experiences the fullness of what he has to give them through us. This will happen by receiving specific direction concerning every conference, what the Lord intends to do and following his instructions as to how to cause the people to experience it. Through the course of the year 2008, a number of enlargements will be coming to the structure of our conferences such as its length, its sphere of influence and the issues we will be addressing. It is our intention to explore all the areas the Lord has given us so that we can be a greater blessing to the world in 2008. Our Outreach Center Our Outreach CenterOne of the results of the Word the Lord spoke to us in the worship conference of July, 2007 is our Outreach Center. Its main purpose is to serve as an avenue through which we can reach out to the poor, needy, destitute, homeless, orphans, etc. The scope of our mission in this department of The Behold File is clearly stated in the scriptures below. “Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing; thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.” Psalm 41:1-3 “The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee; send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion; remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifices; grant thee according to thine heart, and fulfill all thy counsel.” Psalm 20:1-4 “Is not this the fast that I have chosen? To loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? When thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh...” Isaiah 58:6-12. We are reaching out not just for the sake of the benefits that will accrue to us but also because that is what he has required of us. The streets and highways of our nation are crowded with beggars, the lame, crippled and persons with terminal illnesses. Our mission is to reach out to such persons through our outreach programs which will be held quarterly. The mission, scope and objectives of this department are explained below. Our outreaches 2 „« Our mission is to be an extension of the hands of Jesus to the poor, rejected and destitute in our community wherever we are located. This implies that as the Lord enlarges and increases us to spread across the nations of the earth, we will carry relief and aid to our surroundings as well as to war torn and famine ravaged nations. „« Understanding our need for organization and strategy in the distribution of Gods resources to those in need, we will be actively involved with orphanages and homes for the destitute. We will however go on strategic outreaches to feed and clothe the hungry and poor who sit by the road side of our streets. „« Since Covenant University is our home and birth place, we will have regular contributions that we give as a vision to the welfare department of the CU student’s council. We will also work in conjunction with Project 1 Million Souls in some of their special outreaches. „« Our primary focus for the first phase of our assignment will be on reaching out to our community within CU and to orphanages. As the Lord enlarges our coasts, we will begin to reach out in greater dimensions to roadside beggars, orphans, etc. „« The objectives of our outreaches is two-fold: • To champion ways to provide lasting solutions to the needs of the people we reach out to. This will involve identifying their major needs and challenges and finding ways to meet those needs. • To show each person the heartbeat of the father towards them and thus draw them to Jesus. We must treat each person in a special way because that’s who they are to Jesus, our Master. Our History our historyThe Behold File was born in Covenant University, Nigeria in late 2003. We were given the mandate to “open the eyes of men and let them see.” Shortly after that, we instituted three different departments; Singers, Choreographers and Writers. Their purpose would be to produce a union of song, dance and poetry that would compel the students of CU to worship as they saw us minister. Our platform was to be the weekly CU variety night. It would take us about six months before we could minister as intended due to a number of challenges. Our first ministration was held on the 17th of April, 2005 to the glory of God. We then received instruction from the Lord to focus on building our members spiritually. That continued till early 2006 when there was a break because of the compulsory industrial training of 80% of our members. In 2007, we received instruction from the Lord to begin Worship Conferences in the Covenant University community that would focus on teaching worship and imparting strength for the pursuit of vision to the attendees of the conference. We also received instruction to put together a book containing some of our worship poems. Both produced phenomenal results in the CU community to the Glory of God. Since the commencement of the founder from CU, The Behold File has continued to run with amazing success. The worship conferences have continued to hold and have been producing wonderful results. We are also expanding to include special publications that will be an intersection of a daily devotional and a magazine for all students of CU, an outreach center to reach out to the outside world, conferences that will focus on addressing the challenges of man as a complete entity, and our website; for an international audience. Our vision to bring change to men by opening their eyes to see Jesus is definitely beyond CU and is only just beginning to be fulfilled. Indeed, greater and better years lie ahead of us. OUR VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS Our various departments are: I. Our Worship Conferences II. Our Outreach Center III. Our publication Department IV. Our Website.
