These days the color green has become synonymous with words like efficiency, friendly, compatible, tolerant, and the likes. Many would say “The world is going green” as meaning that the world is becoming more environmentally friendly, more energy efficient, more compatible with nature, or more tolerant by the earth. And it is pretty interesting watching trends trickle down from International organizations to national governments, then to local policy makers to companies and indeed individual people. Now some homes are being built called green houses; houses that are environmentally friendly. I wonder where the trend would lead to from here.
Anyways, I am not going to wait for another phase to begin, I have decided to go green in a personal way. This is taking the ‘green-couture’ to a personal level in order to see how I can become more efficient as a human being with my physical living. Laughably, I no longer want to pollute the earth with the disposals from my bowels which not only has a pugnacious odor, but does man no good except to be used as fertilizers for which if any man knows that their food is grown by, would probably cringe in disapproval…. (ha ha)…..
Enough of the meandering. The point is I am becoming a vegetarian for 31 days and see how my body responds to this. We somehow forget that our bodies are also part of the earth and every time we give it what it doesn’t like, we see it eject most of it in annoying odors and physical lumps of pffts (urban dictionary). These are simple evidences that we are not friendly with our bodies thus becoming a source of harm to the earth. This is my thinking and that’s why I am going green.
In the light of the foregoing, I will feed on Veggie and Fruities, drink just water and pure fruit juices and see what I look like at the end of 31 days and see if the earth (my body) establishes a new friendship with moi. If it doesn’t, I damn well will resume feeding it with high-powered junkies and slap it anytime it revolts (although I kinda know where I would end up). But believe me, I have researched and found out that vegetables and Fruits contain all the necessary vitamins that the body requires to support wholesome living.
Most people tell me you need to eat some meat for protein. Guess what? Peas contain that too, and the protein there is more soluble than that which is in meat, except maybe I eat the meat raw (God forbid!!). After cooking the meat with over a 100 degrees of heat, what do you expect to be left in it for your body…? So I am experimenting with my new found earth-friendship and seeing how deep this love can go. If I am consumed by it, then you can be sure I will make build my green body upon that and keep walking my 4 miles every Saturday morning and see between me and you who is better off.
Why I Am Going Green…
