We live in a naturally unpredictable world. Very often, we hear news of natural disasters, hurricanes, earthquakes, and several other tragedies to human lives. Many times these occurrences come across to us as news; mere information. Only rarely do we realize the need that people who live in these war torn, famine stricken or natural disaster prone areas face. Most times, we are so far removed; socially, geographically, and financially that we don’t know the severe conditions people have to pass through.
The Behold file Outreach Center serves as an platform through which our ministry can reach out to the poor, needy, destitute, homeless and orphans and those who have just experienced the massive loss brought about by natural disasters or personal or health challenges. The mission of our Outreach Center is to extend the caring, healing and restoring hands of Jesus to those in dire need.
Regarding outreach to the poor and needy, the bible declares the following:
“Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing; thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness” – Psalm 41:1-3
We understand that at such desperate times in the lives of persons who have lost all they have lived for, a simple, caring, genuine outstretch of needed resources of love could go a long way in meeting their needs and express the heart of the Lord Jesus Christ to them in ways that would never have made a difference in the past.
Ministry of this nature is broad and varied. We believe in the Body of Christ and in its unity and in the fact that there are other Ministries who are well equipped to reach with aid and material resources to those in famine stricken regions of our world or to orphanages. Hence, we will also donate to these proven Ministries to further their cause and help them reach their goals that are similar to those that we also desire to achieve.
The basic objectives of our outreaches are two-fold:
To meet the immediate needs of those to whom we reach out to while championing lasting solutions to their needs so they will no longer require aid
To express the love-heartbeat of our Lord Jesus to them while carrying out our first objective. Our ultimate goal via our Outreach Center is to draw those to whom we minister into an understanding of their need for a Savior for intimate fellowship with the Lord.
Many times, we do not have to travel halfway across the world to war-torn countries or places affected by natural disaster to reach out and show the love of God. A simple 25c gift to a roadside beggar, a hearty smile or pat on the back of a co-worker could do more than we ever anticipated.
It is our prayer that as this platform launches out on various outreaches, the world will come to know the tender, loving heart of the Lord towards it.
