I’ve learnt that life is learning and learning is life. I understand that as long as there is life there’s always something new to learn.
Crying is one of the few things that come to mind, when thinking of things we don’t learn in life, every new born child must cry at birth, registering the name in the roll call of life. Every other thing after then comes from learning, either consciously or unconsciously.
We learn to eat, to crawl, to walk, to talk, to write… to think properly (naturally, we can do this but we need little help to direct our thoughts in the line of productivity), to trust, to love, we literally learn to do almost everything, if not everything that enhances life and fulfillment.
Sometimes this process can be so frustrating, other times unpleasant, but most times very important, you can also consider it very necessary in so many ways, we can’t do without learning it is one of the most essential part of existence.
No man is an island; we get to learn from others, both small and big. I’ve learnt that you don’t always get as much as you give, sometime you get more than give in. You know the funny thing is that the people who give the most sometimes get very little, and those who putting just enough or less effort into a task get the best of it. But this doesn’t still justify working below expectation.
In life a lot is required, there standard we’ve got to meet, many times, deadlines, I’ve learnt that I could have just enough time, little time, and no extra time to finish an assignment, the time you’ve got to the job is yours to always determine. You just have to be prompt, that’s one thing life brings me to understand and appreciate – time waits for no one.
We go to school, to boost our knowledge base and to create a foundation on which a fulfillment in life can be built. All the time spent in the elementary schools, high schools, and tertiary institutions is to get relevant knowledge needed to carry on in life.
After this form of learning, we get to learn from the abundance of what the world has to offer us, we learn trust, love, unity, confederacy, tolerance, responsibility at all its levels and a lot more that the world has to offer. Sometimes, we learn without getting hurt, other times we have to rise from where we have fallen, we have to pick up the pieces and move on, such is life.
Many times we need an inner strength, to be able to move on despite disappointment in some cases and failure at other times. The lessons we learn from life could be tough and sometimes it might come on a platter of gold, insight is what we need at such times to see opportunity and take opportunity, because for such have many sort and have not found even till death.
The understanding of life as an unending process of learning make me to understand that nothing is permanent, that test can’t last more than 3 hours in a school environment, so is every test in life, there’s that time limit, it’ll be over but there’s something you’ve got to do, you’ve got to succeed in that test, you’ve got to come out of it victoriously, you can do it, if you just believe, believe in yourself believe in God and you’ll make it.
Truly life could be very annoying, frustrating … but that man who sees the positive side of it comes out on top.
Do you want to think of what it takes to pass from one class to the other? Is it the hassles of employment or running a business enterprise you want to consider? Is it family, friends, work, games, or what? Everything in life comes with the challenges in its territory and we’ve just got to learn to deal with them.
From schooling to working to having a home, raising children, impacting lives around you, contributing to the society and successfully living one day at a time requires learning. Unless success is not in view, then learning might be considered irrelevant, but as long as fulfillment in life is a goal, then learning is important.
One other thing we won’t learn to do is to die, it comes at its time and the only pray we pray is that it should come at the right time, when we must have lived a fulfilled and profitable life. My prayer and desire is that we all will live to learn to do good, live to learn that it is good to do to others what you want them to do unto you, live to know that there is a God who watches and judges the affairs of men, live to learn that love, faith and hope is the foundation on which a fulfilled life can be built. I love you all, see you at the top!
