You ask me who he is That I should love him so. You ask me who I am That he could love me so. He is my friend, he is my lover, He is my Lord. I am not ashamed, I am one captured by his love, Irrecoverably lost in him, Lost in that cycle And being drawn to him in an unending circle of love.
Yet you still ask “Who is he?” and “How does he look like?” I fear to describe him! Not because I don’t know him, but rather lest by my incompetence I show you something less than he really is…
He is handsome and fair, Uniquely different, he stands out amidst all men, He is as one in ten thousand. His smile is as a flash of lightening, Lightening up the greatest darkness in the universe, His hair is black and wavy, glittering with ointment As the stars of the night. His eyes are like the eyes of doves… Beautiful and perfectly set. Looking into them is like looking into the past, the present and the future all at once. They are filled with love and completely overwhelming. His voice and breath is filled with choice perfume I cannot but listen with rapt attention to all he has to say. His hands are amazing, like a diamond stone, Fixed on a gold ring. His legs are like pillars of polished marble, Set in stocks of gold. His mouth is most sweet And he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, And this is my friend, oh people.
My Beloved: How Jesus Looks Like

You ask me who he is
That I should love him so.
You ask me who I am
That he could love me so.
He is my friend, he is my lover,
He is my Lord.
I am not ashamed,
I am one captured by his love,
Irrecoverably lost in him,
Lost in that cycle
And being drawn to him in an unending circle of love.
Yet you still ask
“Who is he?” and “How does he look like?”
I fear to describe him!
Not because I don’t know him,
but rather lest by my incompetence
I show you something less than he really is…
He is handsome and fair,
Uniquely different, he stands out amidst all men,
He is as one in ten thousand.
His smile is as a flash of lightening,
Lightening up the greatest darkness in the universe,
His hair is black and wavy, glittering with ointment
As the stars of the night.
His eyes are like the eyes of doves…
Beautiful and perfectly set.
Looking into them is like looking
into the past, the present and the future all at once.
They are filled with love and completely overwhelming.
His voice and breath is filled with choice perfume
I cannot but listen with rapt attention to all he has to say.
His hands are amazing, like a diamond stone,
Fixed on a gold ring.
His legs are like pillars of polished marble,
Set in stocks of gold.
His mouth is most sweet
And he is altogether lovely.
This is my beloved,
And this is my friend, oh people.
