Where are the days we heard about, Days of which our fathers told, Days of glory and power, Days of great thirst and hunger? Where are the days whose remembrance Bring longing and desire To our tired, hungry hearts?
Awesome were the days, The days gone by When the gentle breeze of the Spirit Would cause our broken hearts to tremble In worship and fear. Hardened are our hearts in the days now come That our spirits will discern Nothing weaker than a spiritual thunderstorm. Break us oh Lord! Turn us to you in yielded submission.
Where are the days, the days gone by, When the mention of the name would cause our eyes to well With endless tears whose source We could not tell. Where are the days we heard about, When the fire fell, his glory came And man could do nothing But worship and adore his most holy name.
Revive us again in the midst of the years! Rekindle the flame, Renew our minds, Cause your fire to burn purity Into our longing hearts. Oh that we might see your face And hear the silent whisper of your awesome voice, Then would our hearts rejoice And our pleasure know no bounds. Yea, we would be merry And sing for joy As one that finds gold or great treasure. Revive us again! Restore us, that we may seek your face.

Where are the days we heard about,
Days of which our fathers told,
Days of glory and power,
Days of great thirst and hunger?
Where are the days whose remembrance
Bring longing and desire
To our tired, hungry hearts?
Awesome were the days,
The days gone by
When the gentle breeze of the Spirit
Would cause our broken hearts to tremble
In worship and fear.
Hardened are our hearts in the days now come
That our spirits will discern
Nothing weaker than a spiritual thunderstorm.
Break us oh Lord!
Turn us to you in yielded submission.
Where are the days, the days gone by,
When the mention of the name would cause our eyes to well
With endless tears whose source
We could not tell.
Where are the days we heard about,
When the fire fell, his glory came
And man could do nothing
But worship and adore his most holy name.
Revive us again in the midst of the years!
Rekindle the flame,
Renew our minds,
Cause your fire to burn purity
Into our longing hearts.
Oh that we might see your face
And hear the silent whisper of your awesome voice,
Then would our hearts rejoice
And our pleasure know no bounds.
Yea, we would be merry
And sing for joy
As one that finds gold or great treasure.
Revive us again!
Restore us, that we may seek your face.
